Long QT Syndrome (LQTS) is a heart rhythm disorder that can potentially cause fast, chaotic heartbeats. The rapid heartbeats, caused by changes in the part of your heart that causes it to beat, may lead to fainting. In some cases, your heart's rhythm may beat so erratically that it can cause sudden death.
You can be born with a genetic mutation that puts you at risk of long QT syndrome. In addition, more than 50 medications, many of them common, may cause long QT syndrome. Medical conditions, such as congenital heart defects, also may cause long QT syndrome.
Long QT syndrome is treatable. You may need to limit your physical activity, avoid certain medications that can cause the condition, or take medications to prevent a chaotic heart rhythm (arrhythmia). Some people with long QT syndrome also need an implantable device to control the heart's rhythm and prevent sudden death.

There are four (4) ways to participate.
- You can purchase a tree to be delivered and set-up in your front yard.
- You can purchase a 2026 Brittany's Trees long sleeve event shirt.
- You can make a donation on our online Shop tab.
- You can help with delivery, set up or decorating of trees AND/OR spreading the word.
All purchases and donations must be submitted through our online ordering system this year.
Trees will be delivered and set up starting Thanksgiving weekend and will continue until all trees have been delivered.
We will continue selling trees until we are sold out. Once the trees are sold out, the Brittany's Tree products will no longer be displayed under the Shop tab.

All you will need is an extension cord from your house to the tree and if you have a post from last year, please leave it in the middle of the yard or where you want the tree to be placed.

You can take down your tree whenever you like, but FREE garbage pick-up for trees ends around Saturday, January 16th, for most towns. Please keep the post if you would like to participate again next year. It helps with reducing our cost/expense and allows us to donate more money. You can put your tree at the curb for regular pickup.

This year, we are limiting Christmas tree deliveries to Brittany’s hometown of Carol Stream. If you want a Brittany Tree but live outside of Carol Stream, you can select the "Carol Stream Pickup" option under the Brittany's Tree product.
On Saturday, November 28th, you can pickup your tree at 642 Matthew Lane in Carol Stream. There will be a Brittany's Tree representative helping customers on that day to ensure you receive all the necessary supplies (i.e., tree, post, lights, tie straps) to install your Brittany's Tree at home.
In 2025, we proudly donated $45,000 to SADS (now known as Foundation for Inherited Arrhythmias - FIA). With this donation, our total contribution to SADS/FIA over the past 21 years is $625,000.
